Just tried Chef Hong (food truck in Austin) and it blew me away — their Liangpi cold noodles were refreshingly tasty with perfect texture, and their Roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) was a meaty, savory delight. The pork & cabbage dumplings and chow mein were also solid, all flavors balanced without feeling too heavy. It’s a no-sitdown, to-go setup so expect casual vibes, but the staff were friendly and efficient. Love that everything felt genuinely homemade — noodles and wrappers handcrafted, sauces bright and clean. Definitely a gem worth seeking out.

Best authentic Chinese food at a good price! Ruojiamo Chinese Hamburger is very good satisfying! All hand-mind, fresh ingredients and fast service! Highly recommended!

One of my favorite meals recently, especially in this summertime heat. And it’s only $8.50. Liang Pi is cold noodles, served with cucumbers, bean sprouts, seitan, chili oil, and sesame sauce. Simple yet delicious. Noodles are freshly made, and this process is time-consuming. Would recommend ordering ahead since they frequently sell out of this. No seating on-site so to-go only. Street parking is available. 907 W 24th St, Austin, TX 78705

This place is absolutely amazing! I've had a lot of Chinese street food all over the USA, and this is real deal! Those hand pulled noodles? They taste just like your little Chinese grandmother made them for you. I mean just for you! The quality here is superb. The flavor is somehow even better. Whatever you do, do not miss out on this place! The beef noodles and the pork and chive dumplings are both to die for.

We ordered one from every category except fried rice. Everything across the board was on point. All the noodles and dumpling wrappers seemed to be handmade which is rare these days. The lo mein might be one of the best takeaways lo meins I’ve ever had. I would order everything again. The Chef Hong food truck was near the Orange Market which has a great selection of drinks so that was convenient. Around the corner there was metered parking available.

Both Liang Pi and Beef Noodle are really good. The Liang Pi sauce is authentic, paring with sesame sauce and chili oil. The noodle is hand-pulled, really chewy and tasty, I like it a lot. There is a lot of beef and the beef is super tender. And I appreciate a lot the separate packing, keeping the noodle in good shape instead of soaking in the soup.

The Liang Pi is so good and hits right in the spot! I’ve had Liang Pi at many other restaurants in Houston and in China, and so I wasn’t expecting to find something on par in Austin. But I saw that reviews were great, and it peaked my interest. So glad I gave it a try!! Part 2 Review: I came back to get the Liang Pi again, but they were sold out:( The Beef Noodle Soup was alright.

Amazing! This place brought me back to China. Very friendly owner, serving delicious food! The ingredients and flavours are so balanced and not greasy at all. I recommend the cold rice noodles, simply a delicacy the way they prepare them in fresh batches. The sandwich (roujiamo) is great too! Definitely coming back!
